The "Arogya" project was a multi-phase community initiative dedicated to the empowerment, health, and mental well-being of women at different life stages. The first phase focused on supporting students from underprivileged backgrounds through professional counseling on self-worth and hygiene, complemented by donations to support their dignity and confidence. The second phase extended this care to expectant mothers in the Kesbewa division, offering specialized workshops on maternal mental health alongside government-backed financial support for essential goods. Together, these efforts demonstrated a holistic commitment to public health advocacy and community service by addressing both the emotional and physical needs of women.
"Gateway to Knowledge" was a collaborative legacy project that revitalized a neglected library at the WP/Pili/Makuluduwa New Model School, transforming it back into a vibrant sanctuary for learning. Through a joint effort between several regional clubs, members personally handled the physical renovation of the space and donated an extensive collection of educational books. By restoring the library’s infrastructure and resources, the initiative successfully reopened a vital door to the future for local students, demonstrating the powerful impact of united leadership in empowering the next generation through literacy.
Project "Roshni" was a heartwarming international twinning initiative that celebrated the spirit of Deepawali by supporting young migrant workers living far from their families. Through a collaborative effort between two regional clubs, the project provided essential groceries to these hardworking individuals as a gesture of appreciation for their personal sacrifices. By transcending borders to deliver aid, the initiative successfully spread joy and dignity, demonstrating how international cooperation and kindness can illuminate the lives of those dedicated to supporting their loved ones.
"Vision ReFramed" was a successful international twinning initiative that addressed community eye health through a sustainable, eco-conscious approach. The project focused on collecting and distributing reusable eye frames to individuals in need, effectively combining resource management with accessible healthcare. By providing free eye checkups and prescription lenses alongside the recycled frames, the initiative offered comprehensive optical care that significantly improved the quality of life for beneficiaries while promoting environmental responsibility.
Held on March 22nd, 2026, at the University of Colombo, "Leo Crown" was a landmark inter-district event that celebrated youth character, creativity, and leadership through the debut of the Mr. and Ms. Leo Sri Lanka titles. This massive collaboration involving 33 clubs island-wide was supported by a dedicated team that managed the public relations, digital souvenir design, and administrative documentation. The evening concluded with the crowning of 18 distinguished winners, serving as a testament to the power of collective effort and the unified spirit of the youth movement.
Project Ro-Leo was a collaborative humanitarian initiative that united two youth organizations to raise funds for Palestinian relief efforts as part of the "Souq of Hope" event. By operating a successful beverage stall, the clubs generated essential financial support for global aid while fostering cross-organizational friendship and leadership development. The project served as a powerful testament to the impact of collective action, demonstrating how shared values and teamwork can address both local service goals and urgent international humanitarian needs through empathy and unity.
Holi Fest ’26 was a vibrant cultural initiative that successfully strengthened fellowship and unity among youth leaders across the district through a colorful celebration of music and shared joy. Organized as a collaborative effort between several regional clubs, the event fostered meaningful connections and inclusivity beyond club boundaries, reinforcing the values of teamwork and cultural appreciation. By providing a lively platform for interaction, the festival left participants with lasting memories and a renewed spirit of togetherness within the fraternity.
